late winter (or is it?)

icicles

Here in good ‘ol Maumee, we are currently getting spanked by the big winter storm that is affecting most of the country.  I had hoped to go to the park and get a nice photo of big, fluffy snowflakes falling peacefully, but it turns out that we are not getting that kind of snow – we’re getting the hard, stinging, wind-whipped, sandblaster-style snow instead.

This photo is from a few days ago.  It was still cold and snowy then, but the sun was out lighting up the icicles and it seemed like spring was just around the corner.  I totally fell for it – and now we are going to get our asses handed to us by winter again. I heard we’re going to get at least a foot of snow.

Well played, winter – well played.  Now you’re just being kind of a jerk.
