movin’ to the country, gonna eat a lot of peaches

Kitchen Sill, originally uploaded by Christine Bailey.

…anyone remember that song Peaches by the Presidents of the United States of America? My daughter loves it so she said I had to name this post after it.   I myself am fond of the video, which starts out as a performance clip in an orchard and turns into a band vs. ninja battle royale.

Regarding photography, I took a day or so off from taking pictures to get over a headache and sick kid and now I’m back experimenting with the camera.

Update:  I was notified by one of my pals that I had the words to the song wrong!  It’s movin‘ to the country, not “going” – so I have made the correction in the title of the post!  I hope the Presidents of the United States of America will forgive me!

good to hear you’re back into doing what you love….clever use of natural light from the window…have you thought about using a plain white board to reflect some of the light back onto the peach and see how it turns out?

I have experimented a bit with makeshift white boards (a.k.a cutting boards) but I don’t think I’m doing it right. I’m attempting to read up on lighting techniques so I can figure out what I should be doing…it is slowly making some sense! Thanks for sticking with me and my experiments!

We all should be learning from each other, right?…that’s why I started this, to learn from the feedback! Posting pics has been a bit liberating too (and a little nervewracking) but generally an excellent experience!
