princess party shoes

Party Shoes, originally uploaded by Christine Bailey.

…Oh is there anything pink that I won’t buy? No, there isn’t. I splurged on these at Christmas and have been waiting for a chance to wear them out with the matching pink satin clutch I got at the same time. Finally got the chance on Saturday at the club.

Trying to do a macro that is not so close that you can’t tell it is a shoe…of all that I took, I think these do okay. Still working on lighting issues and am reading Light– Science & Magic : an Introduction to Photographic Lighting by Fil Hunter, Steven Biver and Paul Fuqua. Have I learned anything from it yet? You be the judge!

first….I know nothing about macro or the use of artificial light…so can’t say much except that your lighting is sufficient to light up those shoes..I do like the way you intentionally put them in “opposing” positions? would it tell more if you had framed it whereby the entire front of the shoe on the right was visible leaving only a partial view of the shoe on the left?..unless you have access to an off-camera flash or lighting system or a ring flash so commonly used in close-up photography…it will be quite a challenge to get the light the way you would have liked…good effort though…thanks for sharing…
